Family Tech to continue

With the closing of the New & Messenger newspaper on December 30, Family Tech found a new home at the new newspaper for Prince William County (subscribe here). It will also appear on the InsideNova.com website where it has always been when the new paper takes over the site on December 31.

The first column should appear on or about January 10, 2013.

Thank you again to Kari Pugh.  She was the Community Editor at the News and Messenger who first brought me on, and now is the Editor for Prince William Today.

Family Tech to Continue

The newspaper home for my Family Tech column, Manassas' News & Messenger, is going out of business December 30th.  It is a sad day when a community loses its newspaper, especially a 142 year old one.

And I feel bad for the many fine people there that are looking now for new opportunities.

There are a number of paths open to Family Tech in the future.

Look for an announcement about its future at Family Tech's own new. website : FamilyTechOnline.com

Family Tech: Tablets for Kids

What?  You don't want to give you $500 iPad to your 18 month old, even if they have taken to it like a duck to water, and are learning tons when they use it?

This week's Family Tech column discusses some ways to tablet enable our kids.

Family Tech: Facebook Privacy

Just assume all your Facebook posts & photos are public.  Because they probably are more than not, and might one day be public.
